We left the Airbnb around 12pm, we genuinely needed to sleep and rejuvenate because it’s been a couple long days. We drove through Knysna and it was fairly quiet.

Our first stop was Wilderness. We got off at Wilderness Beach and straight away, it reminded us of Durban. The sand was burning hot, so it was a sprint to the water. The beach is beautiful, the water was warm and we spent some time just enjoying the waves. A jellyfish washed up onto shore but sadly, it died after a few waves crashed over it. It was clear in colour, pretty and something I had never seen before.

A short drive from the beach is a lookout point on George Road. We walked down the stairs and saw the most stunning view. I am genuinely blown away by the different colours of the ocean.

After this we went to Victoria Bay beach. As we were walking down to the beach, there was carts selling ice cream and potato twirls. The vanilla ice cream in a sugar cone was probably the best ice cream I’ve had in a really long time. The cart is called Mamaliousis Original Soft Serve. 10/10 would recommend.

The Victoria Bay Beach looked like a locals spot as it was very busy. It was beautiful and clean. They search your bags on the way in as no alcohol is allowed on the beach. There’s also a pier to walk on and there was lots of people fishing.

We decided to go back to our Airbnb after this where I proceeded to nap for the rest of the afternoon. I woke up in time to see a pretty sunset.
My brother and I took a drive around Plett to look for potatoes but by 9pm everything was closed. There’s no night life in Plett and so, we decided to stay in and watch Happy New Year on Netflix.
Step count: 5 024 (lame, but we spent a lot of the day driving)
