We woke up earlyish this morning, had a quick breakfast, packed the last minute things up, took our bags down and were ready before Abu Ahmed even got to us.

While waiting for him, my brother and I explored the streets of our area, we spotted the Amman Citadel, climbed some stairs and then were called back down and Abu Ahmed had arrived.

We loaded our luggage into the H1 and drove about half an hour to Taj Mall which is owned by an Indian national.

Our first stop was Baskin Robbins and yes, it slapped hard and yes, we thought of our cousins immediately.

We spent some time browsing the stores, they have all the brands we have at home with an added few like LC Waikiki, Abdus Samad al-Quraishi and Victoria’s Secret.

On our way to the musallah in the mall, I found it quite pleasing to see Starbucks completely empty and the Astrolabe cafe really busy.

After praying, we set off trying to decide on lunch. We ended up buying burgers and fries from Makers Cafe which was the busiest store in the food court (it was similar to Hardee’s) and some coffee from Cafe Mario which really hit the spot.

After exploring the mall for a little bit more, Abu Ahmed came to pick us up for the airport. Forty minutes later, Abu Ahmed helped us load our bags, we greeted him and promised to share his number (+962 7 9939 7856) with other travellers.

We waited in line for our gate to open then checked in our bags and went through passport control and straight to the Marhabah lounge which was really nice.
We ate some food, relaxed for a bit and then went to the boarding gate where we regretted our decision to leave the lounge because our flight was delayed.

We sat for a bit, trying to just be patient. After an hour, we were finally called to board. One thing about Egyptair, the flight process is always “interesting”.

I spent the entire flight catching up on writing these blog posts and about 1 348km later, we landed in Cairo. Nothing irritates me more than a person who stands up immediately when the flight touches down. Like bro, no one is getting off until the pilot says so. I was low key so happy when the pilot told the people to return to their seats and the guy had to retract his steps.

We waited for a bit and then they began to let us out. We collected our luggage and caught a shuttle to the hotel to rest for a few hours before our next flight.
