We made our way down to the Haram and it just felt so sad to do it for the last time this trip. We managed to get on the Mataaf easily and then I went to sit down and soak in as much of the haram as possible.

Fajr athaan went, my sister came to meet me and we waited for salaah together. Once again, Sheikh Maher’s “Alhamdu” pierced me in the heart but before we knew it, salaah was over. Walking out of the haram was so difficult but we make duaa that Allah brings me and you to His blessed lands over and over again.

I would’ve loved one last Baskin Robbins run but we were both really tired so we went straight to the room to sleep. About 3 hours later, my mom was waking us up to get ready to leave.

We booked a transfer from Makkah to Jeddah (+966 59 293 0816). I’d highly recommend them, our driver was on time and he brought a really nice car which was comfortable for all of us and the luggage.

A little bit over an hour later, we arrived at King Abdul Aziz airport. We bought our Zam Zam (SAR 12.5) and went to wrap our duffle, please check with your airline directly about duffle bags because the lady at the bag wrap insisted we had to buy boxes and wrap it and when we got to the counter, the guy checking us in said it wasn’t necessary.
We wanted Wingstop before we left so I got it delivered to the airport using Hunger Station. Our driver came and we walked to our gate to eat it. Jeddah airport has the comfiest waiting areas (which is deserved after old Jeddah airport’s waiting area). Wingstop was so lekker and by the time we had finished eating, it was time to board.

The entire process with Etihad is such a breeze honestly. Two and a half hours later, we caught the prettiest sunset as we landed in Abu Dhabi, went through passport control, walked around the airport a little bit and then went back to the Pearl Lounge.

We ordered some food (the chicken biryani and the Alfredo pasta were chef’s kiss) and then I fell in and out of sleep for the next few hours.
