I started off my morning with avo toast which made me realise that it really is the simplest things in life that bring so much of joy.

We had Mochachos for lunch and I don’t know if it was just the fact that we were in Cape Town or what, but the strips burger was so good.
Today, the main thing we did is chase the sunset. We made our way to Signal Hill where we managed to find a parking spot only about 750m away from the sunset spot. You best believe we walked as fast as we can to get there.

Cape Town sunsets just hit different. And the ones from Signal Hill are so cool. We watched the sun set and then I made my cousin venture a bit further to catch the post sunset from a different spot. We then ran back to the car where the rest of our family were waiting for us.

We went straight for supper to the Butcher’s Wife which was about 30 minutes away. We had the jalapeño poppers, fried brinjal and pizza rolls for starters which were very lekker. I ordered ravioli which was a bit mid so I ended up tasting from everyone. My aunty’s steak salad was the winner for me though – the flavours came together so nicely. The Alfredo pasta was also nice and the steak baguette.

We then drove back to the Airbnb and continued our game of Monopoly where my Mamajee realised he messed up by swapping his airport for Franschoek.
