Once again, I began my day with avo toast and green tea. What can I say – I guess I’m basic like that.

This city makes me question the quality of life we have in the 011s. Imagine going straight from work to watch a sunset or go chill at the Waterfront or take a walk on the Promenade with the ocean by your side. I get that this may not be realistic because life happens. But @ CT people, please take a sunset walk for me after work at least once a week.

We booked a 5pm cruise with Yacoobs Yachts. Just fyi, if you have FNB, check your Entertainer under ebucks for a Buy 1 Get 1 Free special, if you use this it becomes R300 for two people instead of R360 each. A deal of note if I may say so myself.

We secured our spots on the Tigresse and waited a bit to set sail. We realised we should’ve gotten some snacks for the cruise but nonetheless we had a great time (if you’re doing this, stop at Woolies before you go).

We didn’t spot any wildlife but the cruise did give us stunning views of the seemingly endless ocean, the V&A and Table Mountain. The clouds had settled perfectly on the Mountain and we were awestruck by the view.

One hour later, we docked again, stopped at Woolies for iced coffee and then made our way back to the Airbnb.

After a lovely evening nap, my cousin and I headed down for another magnificent sunset at Mouille Point.

We went to supper to Hermano’s in Wynberg which was so delicious that I didn’t get any pictures. We had the sliders and tenders which were really good and gave us a bit of a Wingstop vibe. It’s definitely worth the visit if you’re in Cape Town.

We then went back to the Airbnb where we finished our game of Monopoly where I managed to emerge as victor. My Mamajee was convinced it was because of my strategic play of purchasing the airports.
