I woke up for Fajr but immediately went back to sleep and was knocked out until zohr. I woke up, read zohr, had some lunch and decided to go to the haram to catch up on some Qur‘aan.

Reading Qur’aan in Masjid ul Nabawi just feels different. Every word feels more and I find myself trying to find aayahs I know the meaning of. I can’t help but think of madrassah days and my Moulanas and Aapa teaching me.

We read asr in the haram and then made our way to the room to catch up with everyone. We chilled in the room for a bit and then went down for maghrib. We caught a beautiful sunset while following behind Sheikh Mohsin Al Qaasim. We got some tea after maghrib that became a staple for the rest of the trip.

We had some supper after Esha from Olive&Chilli which was really yummy. Then, we decided we needed to go for salaam. Gate 22 is open for ladies to sit, make salaam to Nabi ﷺ and to read as much as one would like.
The first salaam to Nabi ﷺ is always emotional and I promise, as I was conveying my salaam I felt the same stab of pain that I felt at Papa’s mayyit.
After spending some time making salaam, I went back to the room to play with Yusuf for a bit.
After playing with Yusuf, I took my cousin to make salaam at the Green Dome. Being in the resting place of Nabi ﷺ brings peace to one’s heart. We just sat there and enjoyed the late Madinah night.

We walked back to the room which was about 1.3km away. With so many of us, it is difficult to go to sleep because you will most likely have fomo. We all ended up chilling and talking nonsense until Fajr.

We all went down to the haram for Fajr. After a beautiful recitation at Fajr, we went up to the room and straight to sleep.
