Wednesday – 03/12/2025 | Two Oceans Aquarium and Hout Bay

Cape Town must do list:

I genuinely think a must do is Two Oceans Aquarium because it’s so cool.

After scoring two free entries for our birthday month people (my aunt and cousin), we began exploring the aquarium.

My baby cousin was very fascinated by the fish and if he could, I’m sure he would’ve touched all of them. We visited the penguins which despite being very smelly are equally as cute and we spent some time watching the sharks in the huge fish tank. The best part of the aquarium was how much it fascinated my baby cousin even if it was just for the first 10 minutes.

Hout Bay

Our family’s fardh in Cape Town is Fish on the Rocks. I don’t remember everything being so far in Cape Town but 45 mins later, we were finally there.

Cape Town is such a pleasure off peak because there was none of the unusual lines and we got our food fairly quickly. The fish and chips are always a 10/10. I don’t think you get any better than this. We swiped everything and after roasting my cousin for ordering a chip roll, we were happy and full.

The beauty of the ocean never ceases to amaze me. (All praise be to Allah).

There’s a Jamaat Khana a few minutes away from Fish on the Rocks which is convenient to stop and read salaah.

After maghrib, we headed for supper to Conscious Carnivores and I think this might’ve been the best supper of the trip.

We had nachos and the corn salad for starters. Both were really good. My aunt, cousin I shared steak and chicken tenders – also really good and flavoursome. My baby cousin had an alfredo which was amazing – the pasta was perfectly el Dante which is just the way my cousin and I like it (as I edit this post 5 months later, I’m still craving this alfredo). My uncle and cousin had the burgers which were juicy and delicious. My other cousin had chicken pops which were also yum. All in all, an 11/10 meal.

We had no room for dessert and made our way back to the room to clear up as we were checking out the next day.
