Carlton Center – Top of Africa.

The Carlton Center skyscraper situated in the CBD of Johannesburg is the highest building in Africa.

Top of Africa 🌍

I’ve wanted to go to Carlton Center’s Top of Africa for a very long time. And last week, I finally did it. It was most definitely well worth the wait.

We went to the counter where you pay to take the lift up to the 50th floor. The cost of the lift is R15 for adults and R10 for children.

JHB. ❤

There Top of Africa has a panoramic view of Johannesburg which is absolutely breathtaking.

My two favourite things: skyscrapers and my nomination bracelet.

The floor has benches overlooking the view so it might just be perfect for your next date with your significant other. It also has posters of events which are part of the history of the City of Gold.

Text reads: An attractive picture of Pritchard Street in the nineties, looking west, with Markham’s building & its big clock on the right. The text is displayed in English, an African language and Afrikaans.
